Messages can be sent by supervisors in two ways: recording the message in their own voice or by using the Text-to-Speech (TTS) feature in the messaging screen where they can type the message and it will be converted to an audio message. This TTS capability also supports Spanish. These messages can be marked as interruptible or non-interruptible.
Messages are retrieved the next time a caregiver signs in to CareWatch. This could be an arrival, a departure, or just a mailbox check. They can listen or skip each specific message.
Managers and supervisors can build customized message groups consisting of individuals, office members, disciplines, geographic regions or just about any conceivable grouping needed. Group members can reside in multiple groups. As caregivers are added, they are automatically included in groups defined by definitions.
Reports and graphs enable management to review how messaging is being used. This also provides a quick assessment of messaging effectiveness.
Questions such as, ‘Did a specific message get listened to?’ and ‘when was it listened to?’ are answered in the message log. Each message and its disposition is listed in the log, so a manager or supervisor can determine if that key information reached its destination.
